Seattle Hotels Downtown

Mayflower Park

The Mayflower Park is one of several historic Seattle hotels downtown. You'll find classic luxury and comfort as well as all the modern ammenities you'd expect from a top-notch hotel.

Originally built in 1927 as the Bergonian Hotel, it offered the latest in luxury accommodations and boasted 240 rooms "all with baths." Over the years the Mayflower has been lovingly restored and refurbished with classic European elegance. The lobby features beautiful antiques and brass, crystal chandeliers, and a 200-year old grandfather clock. The baths now feature extra deep tubs and the original 1927 tiled floors.

Not only is this one of the best Seattle hotels downtown, but it boasts an excellent location as well. It opens directly into Westlake Center, which is very handy on those rainy Seattle days. Westlake offers specialty shops, the Monorail, a Light Rail station, and a food court that overlooks the downtown shopping area. Within a block are:

  • Nordstrom - the flagship store
  • Macys - in a beautiful building that used to be the Bon Marche
  • Old Navy
  • Abercrombie & Fitch
  • Urban Outfitters
  • Barneys New York
  • and lots more...

Catch the Monorail inside Westlake and it's a 2-minute ride to Seattle Center, home of the Space Needle, Pacific Science Center and the Experience Music Project as well as festivals such as Bumbershoot.

You can also get on the Sound Transit Light Rail system at Westlake Center. It's a 40-minute ride to SeaTac Airport with 11 Seattle area stops along the way.

It's an easy walk from the Mayflower Park to Pike Place Market and the waterfront, the Paramount Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, and lots more downtown attractions.
