The Seattle Kids Events Calendar will keep you informed about what's happening in Seattle especially for kids and their families.

Many events on the other calendars are also suitable for children, but it's a lot of information to wade through! Most all of those have activities especially for kids. Here I've gathered some events that are specifically aimed at families with children to help you find some of them more easily.

Free Museum Day

Smithsonian Magazine's nationwide Free Museum Day offers you a chance to visit some of the nation's best museums for free on Saturday, September 27.
Fill in your name and address at the Smithsonian website, and print out a Free Ticket for Two.

Issaquah Salmon Days Festival

Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5
10:00am - 6:00pm
Free admission
Issaquah

Grand parade (Saturday, 10am), live entertainment, 1K, 5K, and 10K run, over 300 arts and crafts vendors, kids activities with craft projects, Field of Fun, and Kid's Stage, Puget Sound Dockdogs, food, and lots more. The Salmon Hatchery provides the theme of this festival.


Kelsey Creek Farm Fair

Saturday, October 11
11:00am - 4:00pm
Admission is free, some activities are free, some have nominal fees.
Kelsey Creek Farm, 410 130th Pl SE, Bellevue

Live entertainment, farm animal exhibits, tractor pull, inflatables, pumpkin patch with pumpkin decorating, local honey and food items sold by local Boy Scout troop.


A Spooktacular Show with Caspar Babypants

Pumpkin Bash at Woodland Park Zoo

Free with zoo admission: One child 12 and under in costume admitted FREE with a paid adult.

Enjoy the animals as they crunch, smash or stomp on pumpkins and enjoy trick-or-treating in the Pumpkin Promenade. Activities include Halloween decorations and crafts, live entertainment.


Halloween Costume Carnival

Friday, October 31

An indoor option for kids 10 and under on Halloween, the Museum features a "Not-So Scary" Haunted Mountain, a "Where in the World is Dracula?" Scavenger Hunt, a Mad Scientist Lab and several booths to visit for a game, craft, "Trick" or a "Treat".


Night of the Pumpkin

Saturday, November 1
6:30pm - 9:00pm
Entrance is free, wrist band for carnival games is $6 per child
Burien Community Center, 14700 6th Ave SW, Burien

Free activities for the whole family including music by bonfire, storytelling, face painting, Day of the Dead festivities, puppet theatre, arts and crafts, and more. Come in your costume!


Seattle Children's Theatre - Dick Whittington and His Cat

Turkey Toss

Wildlights at Woodland Park Zoo

Wildlights features wild animals and places created with thousands of sparkling LED lights. There willl be indoor and outdoor displays, food, entertainment, and two real live visiting reindeer, Lucky and Christi . The zoo's historic carousel will be open for rides.

Christmas Ships Festival

November 30 - December 23

The Argosy Christmas Ships Festival has been a holiday tradition in Seattle for over 60 years. Each night the Christmas Ship sails to different Puget Sound waterfront communities. On board, choirs sing 20-minute performances broadcast over a speaker system. On shore, people gather around bonfires to watch the flotilla arrive. You can sail on board the Christmas Ship or one of the Parade ships that follow, join a group on shore, or add lights to your own boat and become part of the floating parade.
